An anthology film with 20 stories on the subject of words, communication, linked to one another over a 400-metre stretch: from Madrid's Lavapiés Square to the Sala Mirador. A journey between theatre and cinema, filmed in a single fixed shot running continuously over 80 minutes and half a kilometer, in Madrid's popular Lavapiés district. The characters talk, argue, laugh, cry, threaten, whisper, shout, steal, make dates, get angry with and hug one another, prompting the spectator to reflect on the immense power of words.

4th February 1975. It's the first day of the historic actors strike that would bring the country's theatre activity to a halt for nine days. They demand one day off a week. What started out as a demand develops into political challenge. Concha Velasco, Ana Belén, Tina Sainz, Juan Diego and José Sacristán are some of the artists who risked their careers and their freedom. This is the story, narrated by its protagonists, as it has never been told before.

An old priest, who has old ideas, is intended to exercise the apostolate in a neighborhood in the suburbs of Madrid. There the revolutionary climate and anti-religious character of the congregation thwarts all his attempts to attract them. Outdoors, in any town square, in a park or in the city's most commercial street, Alfredo and his troupe November start the show; demons to provoke passers-by, displays of social conscience, actions taken to the extreme to put the forces of law and order on full alert. There are no limits, no censorship; only ideas which are always valid so long as the public ceases to be the public and becomes part of the show swept by surprise, fear, tears or laughter. Theater as life, life as theater… there is no longer any difference.

A beautiful teenage shepherdess named Adega sleeps one night with a mysterious pilgrim in a barn of impoverished and superstitious Galicia of the nineteenth century. The overwhelming fanaticism of the villagers motivates them to consider the outsider an envoy of Satan, reason why they deny him the lodging. The pilgrim, on the other hand, will react by cursing the people with plague and misery.

Azaña tells the story of the last president of the Second Spanish Republic after the military uprising that led to the tragic Civil War. The film recreates and humanizes the life of the distinguished political figure, Azaña, until his last days in Montauban through the harshness of exile.

Based on real events, in 1972 Juan and José are two textile workers from Tarrasa, Catalonia (northeast to Spain) who meet during an UFOs' convention. Both share their passion about the paranormal, specially about UFOs. In these years where was very much UFOs' sightings, they feel captivated by the mystery and start to investigate the diverse theories about the intentions or purposes of the sightings. Their friendship and the obsession they have will turn in dementia and paranoia, hurting their relations with their respective friends and familiars and exposing their lives to an extreme decision due to the conclusion of their own investigations. The musical group "Flor de Lis y los Dos del Orinoco" tours the fairs of the towns with their repertoire of old melodies. They arrive in Torremolinos and settle in a camping site. There they meet Johny, a cheeky "go-go boy" who lives off the land and, if possible, from foreigners. He joins them and turns them into a beat band. They dress like hippies and sing in English. Their new stage name is "Los Hippy-Loyas", and they present themselves to the public as a pop group from Liverpool. Their new life leads them to the most unusual adventures.
