Rachel Deutsch
Rachel Deutsch is a writer-director whose heartfelt comedies blend surrealism with emotional honesty. Her work explores the quiet absurdity of being alive, often centering on women searching for connection in unexpected places. Rachel earned her MFA in Directing from the American Film Institute Conservatory and her BFA in Drama from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where she trained in clown and Commedia dell'arte. She has also studied improvisation and storytelling at the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York and Los Angeles. Originally from Oklahoma City, Rachel is passionate about collaborative, inclusive filmmaking that transforms deeply personal stories into emotionally universal experiences.
