New Year's Eve, 1999. A man is fatally shot during a hunting trip. Agachi, a young investigator just starting his career, is sent from the capital to determine whether it was a crime or an accident. Soon, this seemingly simple case will turn into a test of conscience.

Moldova in the early 90s: Dima, a tractor driver, wants to be enrolled in the military troops to take part in the local war on the Transnistrian border. Vasea, an Afghan war veteran, joins him. While on their way to the front, they find a carbonized body. The authorities ignore them and won't help them to identify the body. Dima and Vasea decide to bury the corpse according to the proper Christian rituals, but not before setting out, together with the body, on an absurd journey to discover his identity.

Dorin, a young man from the country, agrees for money, to take an exam for a Bachelor's Degree on behalf of someone else. He's got just one night to prepare and get in character, while facing social awkwardness and the absurdity of a flawed system.
