Bhanwar, from a Rajasthan village, is coaxed by his uncle to buy a bride, leading to him selling his land and being sold Sanwri, a Transgender/Intersex person. Sanwri's gentle nature melts Bhanwar's heart, but tension arises when Bhairo sees Sanwri as an object to satisfy his lustful needs. Their love cannot survive society's harsh judgment and discrimination towards Transgender/Intersex people. The film also sheds light on bride trafficking, skewed female ratios in India, and derogatory terms such as 'Chakka,' 'Gud,' 'Hijda.'

Bhanwar, a simpleton young man in the rural Rajasthan wants a bride for him but gets duped. Instead of a woman, he is married off to a transgender person – Sanwri. Having no resort Bhanwar and his uncle decide to keep Sanwri for their household work but fearing the social ostracization they also try to keep her actual identity a secret. Bhanwar and Sanwri eventually fall in love and fight to survive as a couple in a conservative, oppressive society where marriages are meant to take place only between a man and a woman, and traditional norms are more important than humanity.

Saira has grown up stealing from strangers alongside her uncle Suresh, a former photographer who now snaps tourists while she lifts their wallets. But when an old film camera falls into her hands, the city she has only ever worked begins to reveal a quiet beauty, and a different way of seeing her own life.
