NRAlongside the public figure Carla Lonzi, considered to be so uncompromising, there is much to say about her private side, as fascinating as it was contradictory. There’s her tenderness and emotional fragility, her dependence on her partner, hence on a man; her complicated feelings about motherhood; and strained relationships with other women in the practice of collective harikiri called “consciousness-raising”. Drawing on invaluable, unreleased archive material, the filmmaker Francesca Archibugi, who was very close to Lonzi, brings her public life and private story, her ideas, and her legacy to the screen for the first time. These are key to understanding what women around the world are still going through and fighting for.

NR[ÒDIO] is a polyphonic work that resonates as a choral dramaturgy: a fabric of gazes and contrasting testimonies on the spread of violence, emerging from encounters with dozens of young people of various nationalities and backgrounds. A three-chapter documentary film that we shot by placing a lightweight blue photographic backdrop in schools, cultural spaces, and reception centers, starting from Rimini, then Rome (the Quarticciolo district) and Hamburg. [ÒDIO] is the final destination of our long theatrical research into the novel Frankenstein (or the Modern Prometheus).

5.0A unique interview with Tooba Gondal, the woman who groomed and lured scores of Western women to join ISIS. Using social media, she became a deadly matchmaker, recruiting a number of high-profile “jihadi brides” for ISIS militants in Syria: she allegedly helped organise the transporting of three British schoolgirls, including Shamima Begum, to Syria.
