A bookshop clerk resorts to black magic to get the attention of a girl with a fetish for cookbooks. Lips to Lips is Malaysian filmmaker Amir Muhammad’s directorial debut. It is Malaysia’s first independent digital feature film that marked the beginning of the Malaysian independent film movement. It paved the way for the Malaysian New Wave’s unique brand of DV (digital video) cinema, whose leading figures have developed a niche of dedicated film audiences.

NR# Suria's Husband The story follows Suria (Nabila Razali) who works at a fashion company. She is known for her unique sense of style, fond of wearing traditional Malay kebaya with canvas shoes. Suria has never had a boyfriend since college and is so busy with work that her mother, Cik Pah (Rozita Che Wan), becomes worried that her daughter will never get married. Without Suria's knowledge, Cik Pah has accepted a marriage proposal on her behalf. Cik Pah also keeps secret the identity of her future husband and orders Suria to find out who the man is. Cik Pah only gives one clue: Suria also knows this man. From that day on, Suria begins to observe the men around her. Who among her acquaintances is her future husband? At first, Suria suspects Gary (Fahrin Ahmad), who helps fix her computer, is her future husband, but Gary remains cold towards Suria. Suria's attention shifts to Ameer (Malek Mccrone), a junior designer working at a renowned fashion boutique owned by Kaidan (Yusuf Hashim).
