Greg owes his girlfriend, Amy, a favor. It's time to clear out the home of her deceased grandparents: a dilapidated villa consumed by creeping ivy and the passage of time. But an unseen presence in the house wants to play a violent game with him. One of blood splatter, disappearance, and cardboard boxes.

The film depicts a dystopian world very close to our own. Every November, people go into hibernation and wake up in spring. The protagonist, a nineteen-year-old boy named Stefano, is forced to spend the hibernation period in the isolated house of his stepmother, his father's new partner.

A young gravedigger decides to emigrate to Switzerland to pursue his dreams. The village madman urges him to stay: he will not find what he is looking for elsewhere.
