Two self-destructive teenage friends embark on an alcohol-fuelled trip around a lonely corner of London. Spiralling out of control, they must confront unspoken trauma and love or lose each other forever.

Carefree retired teacher Tom and his new partner Iona have run away to start a new life together in the South of France, but when Tom's estranged son shows up unannounced with his girlfriend Adele, their past traumas begin to catch up with them. Adele, who was raised in a cult where she was both worshipped and abused, allows her own emotional sacrifices to become the catalyst for others to heal.

Talented and cutthroat hairstylists at a competition find one of their own murdered before judging can begin. Winding through neon-lit halls, competitors unspool long-simmering resentments and lies as they search for the killer among them.

Searching for direction on the quiet banks, they encounter a dancer, whose movement gives form to Noah’s unspoken thoughts. Stirred by the moment, they’re then met with a mysterious figure who reawakens their sense of purpose and hope. Noah begins to mirror the shifting landscape, learning to find comfort in flux. A meditative, voiceover-driven film written by Zohrab Yoncali, based on the PhD research of artist Nic Farr.

Ansky’s The Dybbuk is a complex and meticulously crafted tragedy in which two lovers, betrothed before birth and denied earthly communion, are ultimately bound together for all eternity. This semi-staged reading took take place at the Almeida, as part of Six Artists in Search of a Play.
