1980s, Kuwait. One daughter’s “mistake” tips a family’s world off balance. Fear of shame turns a father ruthless, the women bear the blame, and marriages become punishment—until a once-fragile mum rises to fight back.

The series depicts many of the thorny social issues that occur inside the Kuwaiti and Gulf houses in general, through the story of an authoritarian woman who imposes her control over her family.
