A group of French students are drawn into the psychological and sexual games of a mysterious man called Duchemin. Once they sample his "fear powder" the students experience a series of hallucinations.

The film presents a parade of customs, music, songs and dances of the Slovak people in four seasons, based on a theatre play by I. Teren and K.L. Zachar from the first years after the liberation.

A man changes his behavior according to the term of the year.

A teenage boy has problems not only with his own parents, who have no interest in marital fidelity, but also with his still unsettled love affair with both the petite girl next door and the provocative model. He gradually discovers that the adult world is ruled by pretense, and he loses control of his violently disapproving reactions.
