Hrant is tailor at the fashion house Olimpia. He's a man of great generosity and kindness but has reputation of being strange. His great love for preserving the spirit of art pushes against the wills of Yerevan's various personalities, and conflicts against the set rules of society.

The action of the film takes place in a children's colony, where a film is being shot. In the colony, director Manvel Simonyan gets to know the minor prisoner Hovhannes Darbinyan, who was sentenced to prison for stabbing her lover while trying to protect his mother. The director takes upon himself the burden of releasing a juvenile prisoner before the deadline.

The village Lernasar is doomed to destruction. Its inhabitants, headed by the teacher Kamsaryan, come to defend their history.

An industrial plant pollutes Lake Sevan with discharges. The public demands to close harmful production. The responsible worker, who is in charge of the plant, understands the requirements of environmentalists, but does not dare to conflict with the management.
