Zsófia Polgar, better known as Sofia Polgar, is a Hungarian chess grandmaster, artist and teacher. She and her two sisters were part of an educational experiment carried out by their father László Polgár, in an attempt to prove that children could make exceptional achievements if trained in specialist subjects from a very early age, "Geniuses are made, not born". She obtained the title of WGM (Woman Grandmaster) in 1990 and her maximum Elo is 2505, which she had in 1998.
