In search of a miracle, an American woman embarks on a journey to the Peruvian Amazon and finds hope in a community, through rituals involving an ancient psychedelic plant known as ayahuasca. With her perception forever altered, she forges a bond with a young indigenous shaman undergoing a crisis of his own, and a motley crew of psychonauts seeking transcendence, companionship, and the meaning of life and death.

Despite all the prejudices and problems of living outside their territory, a group of Shipibo people have found a new opportunity to live in Lima. Despite all the barriers and criticism, they maintain their identity and seek a better life in the city.

This first short film in a trilogy tells the story of Xawan Rawa, an elderly Shipibo Meraya who chooses his grandson Kopi as his successor and prepares him for many years to care for his community. Kopi must face the wrath of the beings of Jene Nete (the world of the magua), who are tired of the pollution, depredation, and noise generated by humans that disrupt the water world. Kopi must maintain the fragile balance between both worlds.
