A new detective was sent to investigate unusual events in a rural village in the north-east of Thailand which was believed to be involved with the mythical giant snake called Nakee.

Mark, an Isaan boy who's gone to study law in Bangkok. when he returns home, he finds that the village is nearly overrun by farang son-in-laws.

Dhep is a traveling photographer on his way home to broach unresolved problems between his father and himself. But, on his way home to the island, he meets Riam at the pier, and swiftly falls in love with her. before learning that she’s his father, Cheng’s, new wife. Dhep’s stay at their place familiarizes him with the problems between his violent and sadistic father and stepmother, so he tries to treat Riam kindly to make her feel better. But the forbidden love rears its head again, and the pair decides to make a go of it.

On Songkran, Bangkok native Kan travels to the far north of Thailand to further his study. There, he meets the beautiful Saimai and they quickly form a bond. Sadly, Saimai is to be married off to a local. Kan does everything in his power to stop the marriage, and to stop a falling out between him and his close friend Tawan.
