An intimate glimpse into the life of Cree author, musician, playwright, and storyteller Tomson Highway.

The power of stories, told over many nights, over many years, through all the languages across the world, are encapsulated in an intimate story between a grandmother and her children’s children on a clear winter night in the teepee.

When Ellie receives the news that their best friend Sam is leaving for art school the next morning, it seems like their entire summer together has been ruined. With the help of their friends, not only do they experience the night of their lives, but they find courage within their hearts to make it count.

On the eve of the signing of Treaty 6, a Cree Elder has a premonition about the future.

From the imagination of Kikino youth comes the story of rebellious friends, star-crossed lovers, and brave explorers coming together to discover how connected they truly are.
