The story of the history and success of the St. Petersburg football club Zenit.

A documentary exploring the fierce rivalry between Russia's two dominant football clubs: Spartak Moscow and Zenit St. Petersburg. From the 1990s when Spartak dominated as the nation's beloved team, to the 21st century shift where Zenit rose to prominence, both clubs now stand equal as ten-time national champions. Through archival footage, fan clashes, and player testimonies, the film chronicles their epic competition.

A story about the Zenit football club and its century-long history: interviews with veterans and current players, former and current managers, cult fans, historians, musicians, theater and film actors, and many others.

In 2008, Zenit joined the European football elite after winning the UEFA Cup and the UEFA Super Cup, beating Bayern Munich and Manchester United along the way. Andrey Arshavin, Anatoliy Tymoshchuk, Pavel Pogrebnyak and others speak about the road to European glory under Dick Advokaat.

Winter. A city on the eve of New Year’s. Storefronts decorated for the holidays. New Year’s Eve approaches. We all start to rush, trying to catch up on everything we’ve postponed throughout the year. And yet, a ruined New Year’s Eve often turns out surprisingly well.
