Priska Baru Segu

Priska Baru Segu (born Yuliana Priska Yanti on June 6, 1995) is an Indonesian comedian, actress, and writer known for her bold observational humor and distinctive storytelling style. Born in Berau, East Kalimantan, and raised in a family with roots in Ende, East Nusa Tenggara, she emerged as one of the most recognizable voices in Indonesia’s contemporary stand-up comedy scene. Her comedic work often draws from personal experiences, cultural identity, religion, family life, and the social realities of growing up in Eastern Indonesia. Priska began her comedy journey in 2017 after joining the Stand Up Indo community in Yogyakarta. Determined to pursue a creative career, she developed a reputation for tackling sensitive topics with intelligence, honesty, and humor. Her performances quickly gained attention for their fearless approach and unique perspective, helping her build a loyal audience across Indonesia. She later relocated to Jakarta and became active in the national comedy circuit, collaborating with some of the country’s most prominent comedians and entertainment platforms. Alongside her success in stand-up comedy, Priska expanded into acting. She made appearances in films and television productions, including Imperfect: Career, Love & Scales (2019), Agak Laen (2024), Kaka Boss (2024), and Agak Laen: Menyala Pantiku! (2025). She has also appeared in several web series, demonstrating her versatility as a performer across both comedic and dramatic roles. In recent years, Priska has continued to evolve as a performer, creating original comedy specials that blend humor with personal reflection. Her solo show Pertigapuluhan explores the anxieties, expectations, and lessons of entering her thirties, transforming deeply personal experiences into relatable comedy for audiences across Indonesia. Through her work on stage and screen, Priska Baru Segu has established herself as a distinctive and influential figure in modern Indonesian entertainment.
