Who knows whether Lacan was a hair growth product or a psychoanalyst and can also program their own digital television? The others advance and are joined by a new challenger every day.

A documentary series in which Serine Ayari goes on a journey of discovery to worlds that are far removed from our 'normal life'. She meets special people with a remarkable lifestyle: from young men who offer themselves to older women in exchange for money to spiritual nuns who grow and sell cannabis. In 'The Outsider' Serine finds out why they choose this lifestyle and how they deal with criticism from outside. And as we know Serine, she does so with an honest view of the stories and her quirky humor.

A four-part documentary series in which stand-up comedian Serine Ayari uses humor to delve into the soul and bliss of a country. Because if you really want to get to know a country and its inhabitants, humor is the best indicator: what makes people laugh? How do they laugh? Who are the favorite targets of ridicule? Are there taboos? Who do they find hilarious? And can they laugh at themselves? In search of answers to those questions, stand-up comedian Serine Ayari travels to Germany, Lebanon, Denmark and Japan. Successively the least funny country in the world, one of the unhappiest countries in the world, the most egalitarian country in the world and the most special country in the world. Serine always goes to the capital's comedy club, where she makes a humorous road trip past meaningful places and people under the wings of a local guide.
