After a long time, a deaf boy meets his own father, who is a musician and does not speak sign language. Over a long weekend, both of them learn that they speak a common language through music.

What does the unsparing articulation of one’s own sexual needs do to the recipient? Especially when all of it happens in the anonymity of the internet. A fatal game of dependencies in a supposedly safe space.

In September 2016, police shot and killed Hussam Hussein in Berlin; the case has still not been solved. Inspired by this incident, “Code of Silence” sheds light on the esprit de corps, here using the example of a German police duo. While pursuing a suspect, police officer Thomas loses his service weapon in a scuffle with the fleeing suspect. His partner, and long-standing friend, Grebe sees no other way than to shoot at the suspect and kill him. Thomas is not entirely convinced that Grebe’s actions were right, and now has to decide whether his moral obligation is to truth or to loyalty.
