The film takes place in two spaces of time. Modern history tells the story of a passing relationship crisis doctor James with her teacher Maria. During the night shift, Jacob is trying to calm the boy. Experiencing a shock that pushes him into the inner journey in time past, in the regions of childhood, to the genesis of his fears and frustrations. The second story waged simultaneously with the first takes place in the nineteenth century, in a nobleman's manor where Maria takes care of the ailing heiress Elizabeth. Two friends recall the PRL. After serving time in jail, they took up an illegal currency exchange. Cheated by partner - they decide to take revenge. Preparations take many months, but the action ends differently than it was planned.

The title character of the film is a retired nurse who lives alone and is always in a hurry to help others. She knows perfectly well what pain and suffering are, she has experienced the loss of people closest to her, and as a nurse she has become accustomed to transience and death.

Looking for a place to conduct research, docent Marek and his family move into an old villa where strange events take place.

Two prison cellmates get a one-day leave out of jail to dress up as Santa Claus and an angel and give presents to children from an orphanage. But the presents don't seem to be for kids.
