Three children are accidentally transformed into fish after consuming a potion made by an eccentric scientist. The kids end up in the sea, with one problem: they must find and drink the antidote within 48 hours, or forever remain as fish.

Struggling to survive in post-WWI Copenhagen, a newly unemployed and pregnant young woman is taken in by a charismatic elder to help run an underground adoption agency. The two form an unexpected bond, until a sudden discovery changes everything.

In Northern Norway during the 1860s, a little girl named Dina accidentally causes her mother's death. Overcome with grief, her father refuses to raise her, leaving her in the care of the household servants. Dina grows up wild and unmanageable, with her only friend being the stable boy, Tomas. She summons her mother's ghost and develops a strange fascination with death as well as a passion for living.

The Snooks (singular!) derives his name from the Danish expression "leaving the Snooks behind" much used by 7-year-old Eigil's parents to indicate somebody's going nuts. This being a live action-cum-puppet animation film, Eigil's own imagination turns the Snooks into an amiable gnome-like little fellow and best friend during a summer holiday. When they are being joined by a cat, the fun really begins.

When Prussia and Austria declare war on Denmark, two brothers are called to serve in the bloodiest battle in Denmark's history.

But fortunately Elise finds her brothers, who are swans during daylight and human beings at night time. In a dream, the fairy Fatamorgana tells the story of the unhappy princess and how she rescues her brothers, the eleven princes.

This puppet film is a visually rich interpretation of the national hero Holger Danske. The story begins with Holger's birth and baptism in pagan Denmark around the year 800. The little boy is kidnapped by the Franks, who, led by Charlemagne, are trying to unite the many peoples of Europe into one empire, under one faith. The film follows the open and charming Holger's encounter with war and love, foreign cultures and beliefs, thereby touching on some universal and eternally valid themes.

Denmark in the '70s. The teenager Christoffer's parents Nisse and Maria have decided to move into a commune, because they want to try the alternative lifestyle. But Christoffer doesn't like it, and has trouble adapting. In school, the others tease him because he lives in a commune. As a plan from the elders in the commune, he starts in a Maoist group to learn about the real ways of the society. He doesn't like it, but when his new girlfriend starts to see what he does as cool he goes into it. But at the same time, the police start to suspect him to be the terrorist who blows up telephone booths around Copenhagen.

Oscar and Josefine are celebrating Midsummer with Oscar's grandparents in the country. A demon, Thorsen, gives Josefine the gift of enabling her to travel back in time. Visiting Oscar's family in the 17th century, Josefine saves a sickly young girl from the stake. But now the villagers see Josefine as a witch and want to burn her at the stake instead.

This is where the story begins, as Snøvsen and Eigil set out into the wide world to earn money. This takes them to Federico's circus, where the shady director tries to cheat Snøvsen out of his wages. They end up in the big city, where they make lots of new friends and have lots of fun adventures before they all meet up at Tivoli Gardens for a final joint attempt to save their home.
