And, of course, the reason for their gathering was the same: how to protect the city from a natural disaster?

The film tells about the battles of the young patriots left in Simferopol occupied by the fascists and the heroic death of the Georgian girl, Zoya Rukhadze. After a number of successful operations, the fascists search and arrest everyone named Zoya. According to the decision of the illegal center, Zoya has to leave the city, but she cannot come to terms with the idea that innocent girls are being tortured by the Gestapo because of her.

In the early twenties, with the advent of Soviet power, a difficult period of collectivization began in a small Georgian mountain village. Nino leaves his native village. Years pass, becoming a famous surgeon, she comes to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the collective farm. On the day of her arrival, an unknown tramp is found in serious condition on the riverbank. Upon starting the operation, Nino recognizes this man as her ex-husband. The surgeon's thoughts go back to those distant days...

Georgian village during the revolution of 1905. The struggle of the peasantry against the landlords. Tariel Golua's son, Levan, leads the rebellion. Tariel himself is in favor of a peaceful solution to the conflict, but when his son is brutally killed, and the houses of the rebels and their supporters are set on fire, Tariel is convinced that it is impossible to gain freedom without an armed struggle.

Second World War. The fascists attack Svaneti. Old Betkili, whose son was killed in the war, lives far from the village. The old man comes across a Soviet soldier, Lasha, and shelters him in the mountains, but soon finds the soldier’s behavior suspicious.
