A historical recount of the foundation, establishment, and expansion of 'Amirkabir Publication Institute'. This publication house was considered Iran's most influential and biggest publication institute in the 1940s-80s years. The film looks at the life of the late Abdorrahim Jafari, Amirkabir's founder, and the institute's sad ending, early 1980s when the revolutionary court orders the institute to be confiscated. Mr Jafari was then stripped of the institute's ownership and forced to retire. The documentary 'In Search of Illumination' is narrated by Abdorrahim Jafari and reviews different periods of his life and his activities in the Amirkabir Institute.

A Documentary about Ali Dehbashi (Persian: علی دهباشی). He is an Iranian journalist, Iranologist, researcher and writer. Dehbashi is the writer and editor-in-chief of Bukhara magazine, a periodical magazine on arts and culture in Persian published in Tehran.

Simin Daneshvar was an Iranian pioneering novelist who lived nearly for a century and under 3 different political regimes. She and her husband, (Jalal Al Ahamd) have been regarded as "Iranian Simone de Beauvoir, and Jean-Paul Sartre". But they had a very different fate. Simin's life is a mirror of what has happened to Iranian women throughout a century, from unveiling the hijab and playing important roles in society to imposing hijab and staying at home in the Islamic regime. This film looks at her life through the history of women's movement in Iran.

Simin Behbahani, one of the greatest contemporary poet in Iran, started composing lyric poems at the age of fourteen and at the age of forty she was one of the most famous poets of Iran. It is said that those poets who start composing poetry from adolescence, the source of their taste dries around the age of forty. While Simin Behbahani reached the peak of composing poetry again at the age of forty and added forty new rhymes to her sonnets. She was always at the forefront of civic movements and incorporated everyday social events into lyric poetry.
