The story of a lonely diner cleaner, hiding from the world behind the ridiculous guise of an old man, who one day finds a video game cartridge in a cereal box that opens the door to a world of forgotten youth, where the boundaries between past memories, fantasy and reality begin to gradually blur.

His younger brother, only 17, has plans for college. However, the brothers’ perspectives on the future shift dramatically when Kesha joins a gold-mining crew.

Each short story is an independent story exploring how cinema begins, how it influences us and where the line between the screen and reality lies. It can be a short sketch from the set, where the lighting technician suddenly changes places and importance with the most influential auteur director; preparation for the first film screening in Rus'; a conversation between friends immediately after the film; a story of a difficult choice between creative freedom and a career; and finally, a free interpretation of the 1986 film about the life of a simple fisherman from Kaliningrad.

This shabby boat is the floating home of a dozen weary and irritable sailors, whose only priority is making money and not getting killed in the process. Ice-cold waves, incredibly beautiful but severe seascapes, hard labour and tons of stinking fish is the daily menu. The sea is unpredictable, and the upcoming storm is not the main test that awaits the ship’s crew. Their trip to sea, however, turns out to be more serious and more tragic than either of them could have imagined.
