When he escapes exhausted from his landlady, he starts working in a mine and visits brothels on a regular basis. He looks on women in a totally cynical manner. However, his persistent wandering must finally result in a true love.

The action takes place in occupied Poland during World War II. Ewa moves into the tenement house where 12-year-old Filip lives. Since she meets the Germans, the inhabitants of the tenement house avoid her. Filip, on the orders of "Gypsy", who follows Ewa, starts visiting her and tells "Gypsy" about these visits. Soon a friendship is born between him and the girl.

Together with the girl, Monika, they go to the address provided. It turns out that the sick person is Anka. She had an accident while horseback riding and is now in a wheelchair. After some hesitation, she agrees to let Jurek take care of her.

It's Christmas, and children at an orphanage in Maliszewo receive a computer that was given to them by another orphan who used to live there many years ago. During the night, the computer awakes itself and tells the children a story that will happen in 25 years...

The film is set in the interwar period. Jerzy, a young journalist, spends his vacation alone, kayaking on rivers and lakes. One day, he stops for the night near an old manor house. The film is a story of a young man coerced into undercover work for the police, in return for their dropping of charges against him. He is to befriend a leader of a gang of juvenile delinquents who plans big robbery of a jewelry store. The scheme works and the gang is caught in the act except the gang leader.

Social drama which addresses the problems faced by delinquent young people and how difficult it can be to change their way of life. Czesiek is a young hooligan who who comes into contact with Marek, a sociology student and tries to change his lifestyle but receives no support from the local youth organisation. His comrades look on him as a deserter whilst Marek is only interested in him as a subject to be studied.

Major Henryk "Hubal" Dobrzański refuses to surrender to the Germans in the wake of the 1939 campaign and continues to lead his regiment in guerilla warfare against the invaders.
