The story of how a small child’s life is transformed by the woman his father loves, a cabaret singer, Anjelique. It opens in 1982, when the child is now on eighty-year old retired diplomat, living on his own with only a cat for company.

Based upon an ancient epic poem by "Ahmad Khani", the film relates the story of Mem,a young Kurdish boy, who falls in love with Zin, the daughter of the governor of Butan,when the people are celebrating "Newroz", the ancient national ceremony of Kurds.

Ziya's passion for his partner's wife Zuhal and his past mistakes have made his life miserable. On top of that, when his partner Nejdet died of kidney failure, his world became even darker. That is why he has become hostile towards women.
