An unexpected pregnancy and premature birth become a burden that Maria is unprepared for. Over the past year, seven Neapolitan writers known as ‘I Nisidiani’ (Viola Ardone, Riccardo Brun, Maurizio de Giovanni, Daniela De Crescenzo, Antonio Menna, Valeria Parrella and Patrizia Rinaldi) have written a novel as part of a prison-based writing workshop which, amongst other things, changes both the authors and the young prisoners forever.
