Two professional mourners try to trick Death in the northeast of Brazil.

Three actresses come together to attend the funeral of their longtime friend

Through the investigation of crimes committed by Brazilian politicians, a vigilante officer encounters an unlikely love and is faced with the recurring question of our imagination as a nation: is there anyone who is not corruptible in this country?

This is an adaptation of the 2015 TV show, featuring two intertwining love triangles that drive the plot. The first triangle involves Aragão, his wife Arlinda, and her lover, Chico. The second triangle unites Malvina, Lena, and Gabriel, who is the son of Arlinda and Chico but raised by Aragão.

Dedicated to Robert Bresson, the short film focuses on a man on a wheelchair before TV images. In his mind, quotes from the book Notes on the Cinematographer reverberate.
