Lourdes Zamalloa

A young woman from a traditional family learns she's intersex, sparking a journey of self-discovery, gender identity and love found in unexpected places.

Spain, 1970s. While a cruel dictatorship rules an eternally grey country through fear, violence, repression and censorship, María, a young dancer, dreams of bringing bright colours into her life and the lives of others, as she makes her way towards personal freedom and pursues her crazy dream of becoming a TV star; a very funny journey in which she will be comforted by the pop songs of the incomparable Italian singer and dancer Raffaella Carrà.

Carlota has an open war with the caretaker of her community, Candela, whom she considers a person at risk. Carlota did not always know that HIV does not understand social status, gender or sexual orientation, she had to learn it by having it closer than she could ever have imagined.
