Carine Rizcallah is an actress and writer, known for her groundbreaking work in the lebanese drama scene. She was born in Sidon to a half Mexican mother and a Lebanese father. She pursued a degree in acting and audiovisual at the Lebanese University despite her father’s disapproval and she’s been a prominent face on lebanese televisions since the early 2000s.

NRThe film, which was shown on the occasion of the “International Migrants Day”, tells the story of “Mihiret”, a young Ethiopian woman who came to Lebanon to work as a domestic servant. Mihiret, who supports her mother and daughter in Ethiopia, begins her tragic journey with the labor system for female migrant workers in Lebanon and its inhumane conditions and moves from one job to another, experiencing physical, psychological and material abuses and depriving them of their rights as workers and as a human.
