The story of Kıymet Hanım, who married Numan Bey, an old Istanbul gentleman and retired long-distance captain. The elderly former captain, Numan Bey, who sought happiness in a retirement home after his retirement, finally decides to get married. He writes a letter to the Gönül Postası column of a newspaper.
