Viljar Hanssen

Viljar Hanssen (born 4 August 1993) is a Norwegian politician and survivor of the 2011 attacks on Utøya. At the time of the attacks, he was 17 years old and attending the Workers' Youth League (AUF) summer camp on the island. He later became involved in politics on Svalbard and served as a member of the Longyearbyen Community Council. Hanssen has spoken publicly about his experiences and appeared in several documentaries. He was portrayed by Jonas Strand Gravli in Paul Greengrass's 2018 film 22 July.

9.5Ten years ago, Carina Bergfeldt covered the terrorist attack in Norway, and as one of the first reporters on-site, she gained a unique insight into the aftermath of the tragedy. For two days she lived with survivors and parents who were looking for their missing children in the hotel that was turned into a crisis centre.
