The story takes place near Lisbon, in the mid-16th century. Bela, an adopted young man, tries to find his place in a family that is free, but trapped in a world where each shadow allows imperfections to shine through.

Set in 2025, five centuries after the sentencing of death of Gilles de Rais. A young couple discovers the case while isolated from the world. Like their contemporaries, they wonder about the guilt or innocence of this monster who inspired the Bluebeard tale. And so the idea arises to recreate the trial.

One summer night, a teenage girl sneaks out of her house to meet a boy at a party. However, when she finds him, he is strange and distant. That same night and at that same party, a boy is intercepted by an unknown girl, who claims to know him.

A large, time-worn house sits on a towering, untouchable pedestal. Ressaca Bailada – Filme Concerto follows individuals as they navigate their relationship with freedom, unity, and isolation within this setting. Celebrating tradition while confronting and questioning it, all against a backdrop of music that shapes the journey.

It tells the story of Araci, a woman who saw her daughter murdered by ranchers. She emigrates to Mértola with her husband and their granddaughter, who will grow up without forgetting the indigenous rituals and teachings of Brazil.

Alice, a recently widowed director, is alone on her grief after her daughter leaves home. Alice clings to the only structure she has, a fragile foundation at risk of collapsing: an essay film project, about first loves, dependent on funding. Suddenly we enter in another dimension, another place and without prior notice we are in the film conceived by the director.
