Ligia Ciornei was born in Suceava, a city near the border with Ukraine, which was and is a source of inspiration for her films. He lives in Bucharest, during which time he studied Film Directing and Film Production at the National University of Theater and Cinematography "I.L Caragiale", Bucharest. He is currently a doctoral student at the same university. Although a large part of the artistic team of the film The Lost Year 1986 was born after the 1989 Revolution, they will tell with humor and sincerity the story of a family from a village in communist Romania, affected by the Chernobyl nuclear accident.
