Student Annika returns home for Christmas, but the anticipation of the family dinner is overshadowed by tensions: stepfather Thomas invites business partners, mother Monika is focused on sister Maya’s career, and uncle Detlef stirs things up with his comments. When Maya decides she’d rather celebrate with her boyfriend Barir, Annika covers for her with a lie.

Whiskey, cigars and rich food paired with playing cards. The obvious frame of a stylish and comfortably get-together. However in this case the attendees do not play for fun and their standing but for their own life.

During a 10 minute ride, we witness in 2 parallel long-takes the changing rivalries between 3 gangsters and the growing panic of their hostage in the trunk. The kidnappers just have to cross a river to get to the delivery point. But instead of a bridge, a big surprise is waiting for them.
