A man rescues a mermaid in Paris and slowly falls in love with her.

Sam’s mother didn’t show up at work this morning. As usual, while he was supposed to handle his move out of the house, the young man in his twenties drops his plans to take care of her. He will have to lie, cover things up, put on a brave face, threaten, forget himself… and above all, do whatever it takes to prevent her from suffering the consequences of her alcoholism.

Amani was 10 years old when he was separated from his mother Riziki after a traumatic night in Kinshasa. He was 20 when he arrived in Brussels to find her and continue his studies. Amani is haunted by the past. Riziki avoids talking about it as she now lives in a relationship with Raphaël. More passionate about art than his studies, Amani abandons them and drifts. Refusing to take the first step towards his mother, he flees the house and forms new friendships to end up under the wing of a car dealer. But his resentment turns against him, against the young woman he covets and ends up hindering the business of his new friends.

During one week, Marion and Patrick will take Mathis in, who has just been evicted from a youth center. His presence will make Marion ask herself what she wants and what are her boundaries at work as well as in her love life with Patrick.

Suffocated by the summer heat, disoriented by their desires, Garance and Thibault seek a different way to connect. Dance will be the first step that leads them to becoming one.
