Rose tells the whole story from Titanic's departure through to its death—on its first and last voyage—on April 15, 1912.

He commits various minor crimes like stealing sasages etc which due to the descriptions of the prepetrator attract the attention of the Metropolitan Police who eventually start to track him down.
