In 1999, for the 30th anniversary of the original Woodstock festival, organizers planned the three-day Woodstock '99 music festival in an abandoned air force base in Rome, New York. Thousands of people came to the festival. Performers such as Kid Rock and Limp Bizkit performed at the festival. However, all was not peace and love. Bad conditions and inflating prices for water led to riots and looting on the last night of the festival.

On September 5th and 7th, 2001, an ensemble of superstar artists gathered in New York City to record a new version of "What's Going On," Marvin Gaye's classic call for compassion, healing and love, in order to raise awareness and funds to fight against the scourge of AIDS in Africa. In the wake of the tragic terrorist attacks on the United States on September 11th, Artist Against AIDS Worldwide, realizing the recording's powerful healing message extended beyond the scope of the projects original aim, decided to donate 50% of its proceeds to the United Way's September 11th Fund and 50% to the AIDS relief effort, which includes the Global AIDs Alliance, among others "The Making of "What's Going On" brings you into the recording studio and onto the set of the music video with all of the artists who came together in the name of AIDS awareness and relief.

The story is about Ronnie Reno, a former TV action star in need of a comeback. After a failed audition, he ends up snowbound in a remote town in Nevada overrun with meth dealers including Merle and their dimwitted henchman. After Reno finds the body of a dead DEA agent, he reunites with his former co-stars including Devon in order to save the town and himself.

Yes, that’s Fred Durst singing backgrounds to “Looking for My Yoko” in the opening, and of course our buddy Bobby Lee is in there doing what Bobby Lee does. Some of the other people that pop up are Laurence Fishburne and many more surprises. This was produced in the late 90s/early 2000s. Some of the locations we visited were New York City, Cannes Film Festival, Des Moines, IA — well just watch it, I’m all over the place bro! I’m all over the place spoogin’!
