Recipes to look forward to: a fennel-rubbed turkey, buttery stuffing TWO ways, sour cream and chive potatoes as plush as the inside of a baked potato, and—surprise—a pumpkin pie with a gingersnap crust. Some things will never change: I still don’t think you can do much better than a canned cranberry sauce (though I still make my own), and I’m still hand-tearing bread for stuffing. And some things are brand new: In 2024, I’m all for a classic green bean casserole, and I’m very pro- make-ahead recipes (even the mashed potatoes — you’re welcome!).
