They meet at an anti-regime demonstration and become friends. They don’t want anything to do with politics, both want to get married and have kids, but also get rich. Crazy plans and risky attempts to realize their shared dreams land them in many sticky situations in the post-revolution chaos. Too much money gets in the way of the power of friendship.

A dramatic love story in the front line.

War takes its cruel toll, which everyone must pay. It hits a small Slovak village especially hard, where the struggle for a bare life becomes a test of human character. For two impoverished friends, Jakub and Maja, struggling through poverty is more than difficult. Jakub delivers sour milk from somewhere on his cart to the entire village and lives in a dilapidated house with his sister Tereza, whose caregiver and guide through life is the experienced woman Mara, who provides herself with money from seduced soldiers. Maja, on the other hand, is a foundling and homeless man who does whatever he can to survive the next day. The only consolation for the two inseparable friends are the circulating tales of a kind of promised land, where there is no poverty or hunger, and where they could both go. Only this vision, this idea alone keeps the two of them and the rest of the village on their feet, and gives them hope for a better tomorrow.

A lyrical picture of student life. A romantic story of first student love seen through the eyes of an aging writer's memories. In the last years of his life, National Artist Štefan Králík, in addition to his theatrical work, also worked for television. A Trip to Youth takes place in the environment of a current class of high school graduates who have invited a famous writer to a discussion. Shortly before his arrival, however, something happens that contradicts the majority's opinion about morality. And so the planned official discussion suddenly becomes a sincere, open exchange of views, in which the writer becomes one of the actors in the story. A story that happened to him fifty years ago.

A psychological story of a young woman who, after two failed marriages, finds the strength to fight for her independence and lost self-confidence. After Ondrej's death and the disappointment of her second relationship, she returns to Ondrej's parents with her son to start working and living again.

A sociological drama with a detective plot taking place in the period of industry and agriculture collectivization of the 1950s. Peter Lánik, a young lawyer, during a trial finds out that whom he thought to be his father is in fact only his stepfather. This idea is supported by the aforementioned short stories, but the inventiveness of the subject matter and staging is very heavy-handed, and the film passed through the cinemas without much interest.

Many films have received almost no audience response at the time of their release in cinemas - this one is one of them. The story of a sick writer who returns to his native region to gain new physical and mental strength, however, did not impress, it is too artificial, with dialogues and plots rustling paper. It lacks both a believable depiction of the main character's mood and adequate realization certainty, the hero's silent discussions with the personified Inspiration sound cumbersome.

After the figures repeatedly appear, he learns that they are people who were directly at the epicentre of the atomic bomb explosion in Nagasaki and whose chain reaction transported them to the antiworld. Among them is Mary Seymour, with whom he falls in love. He decides to transport himself to the antiworld using the explosion of a small atomic bomb. However, his attempt might end tragically.

A dangerous maniac is on the loose in the city, targeting women... The last episode of the free Slovak crime series depicts the fight between law enforcement officers and a maniac who threatens women. An unknown young man cuts several girls with a razor on the street. The victims only remember that the perpetrator was wearing a hat with a pompom, like many men wear. There are also many suspects. The investigator of the case, Captain Hroncová, is in a difficult situation, especially after another crime occurs. This is the murder of her classmate, whom the perpetrator even warned about his intention by phone. The captain, risking her life to uncover the murderer and, with the help of her colleagues, eliminate him...

The poverty of Slovak workers during the Great Depression during the Masaryk Republic reached such a level that it led to a well-organized strike. The capitalists and their minions tried by all means to break it. Even the workers who had not yet been elected soon recognized their place and supported the initiative of the communists, who selflessly led the strike movement. The poster-like, purely ideological story succumbs to paper-like dialogues and plots, and the narrative portrayal hardly convinces of the credibility of the whole story.

The security forces, loyal to the people, uncover the conspiracy. At the center of the intrigue is an average actor who suddenly becomes dizzy from unexpected praise. It takes the young man a long time to wake up from his dreams, to understand how he has been abused.

The myth of the anti-fascist resistance in Slovakia was one of the important themes of normalization cinema, of course, treated with an emphasis on the leading role of the communists. This primitively illustrative film depicts the heroic enthusiasm shown by the members of the resistance group, heroically and with constant commitment of life fighting against the treacherous police of the Slovak state and ultimately against the German Gestapo.
