Every year on June 14, the Siberian Children Foundation goes on a trip to Siberia to remember their loved ones who stayed there. Along with the trips, they've made documentaries and held conferences. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the foundation's activities. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, no in-person activities were planned this year, but a documentary film entitled "Children of Siberia. We Remember," which depicts the gatherings of those deported to Siberia in 1941, reflects archival material from previously filmed movies, and reveals the most vivid moments from legendary expeditions over the course of 20 years.

The 1980s in music were marked by the maturation of the 1970s generation of musicians and the emergence of new rock bands in Latvia – Pērkons, Jumprava, Zodiaks, Dzeltenie pastnieki, and Zig Zag. Through their lyrics and later in more direct texts, the bands expressed their views on current issues of the time, such as freedom, independence, and occupation. Party officials did not like this very much, but they were no longer able to stop the process. The Singing Revolution had begun.

Here Comes the Rain poster

Who am I when no one is around, Sabine asks when she is alone. The young woman’s life changes when falling in love leads to a personality crisis. She seeks peace and refuge by running away from her everyday life and hopes for new changes, but is instead forced to confront her inner self and play the role of victim that she is so familiar with. The message here speaks about the radically different perceptions of women and men regarding the world, which they can only understand by sharing and cooperating with each other.
