In Svaneti, the mountainous region of Georgia, there is the Jachvliani clan tower known to have shown an angel figure of white smoke. At these times the tower inhabitants always prayed as the angel was believed to protect them. One day a man from another clan was killed in the tower and the angel has never made its appearance since.

The life of Jorje, tour guide from Brazil, changes dramatically as he travels to Svaneti, small, beautiful and very exotic region in Caucasian mountains of country of Georgia to learn about the sense of humor and jokes specific to this place. But he discovers the humor here can become even wilder then the Caucasian mountains.

The story of Pascal Ichak, a larger-than-life French traveller, bon vivant, and chef, who falls in love with Georgia and a Georgian princess in the early 1920s. All is well until the arrival of the Red Army of the Caucasus, as the Soviet revolution that has swept Russian comes to Georgia. Told as a flashback from the present, as a French-Georgian man whose mother was Pascal's lover translates his memoirs for Pascal's niece.

Eighteenth century. Georgia weakened by external and internal wars. The main characters of the film sacrifice their lives to establish peace between separate corners, to fight for spirituality. They die, but their legacy - songs, wall paintings, cultural monuments - survive the ravages of time.

Don Quixote and Sancho Panza arrive in Georgia to free Prometheus - the same Amiran, who is chained in the Caucasus Mountains. They meet the local prince Luarsab and go with him in search of Amiran. Their journey is both funny and sad. They try to establish justice, help everyone, but their actions are incomprehensible to the population. They encounter cruelty, indifference, categoricality...
