The inhabitants of a mountainous Armenian village live a normal life, which abounds in tragic and comic, sad and happy moments. Arayik, a native of that village, takes a long time to realize his origins.

The film depicts five workers who are laying a street in one of the new districts of Yerevan. A complex relationship binds them. Each of them has his character and his destiny. The film touches upon common social problems on a private level.

A crane operator wins a car in a lottery and his life immediately encounters various trials and tribulations.

Builder Hovsep Manukyan's big and restless family hosts his old father Poghos who is forced to move from his native village. Many good and bad, funny and sad, important and unimportant events take place in the family of Hovsep, that help the older and the young to share their most valuable experience - culture of life, co-existence and devotion.

Small group of Armenian construction workers leave for Siberia to earn money. They enter into complex and uneasy relations with the local Siberians

The house of a village teacher burns down. Out of sympathy the villagers come to rebuild the house. And here come the real troubles...
