Pedro, a foreign worker in Switzerland, learns that his mother is in hospital in Spain. Isolated from the world on his employer’s farm, he is asked to take one of the cows to slaughter before leaving for his country. Waiting for news from Spain, he arrives late at the slaughterhouse. At this same time, his brother calls to tell him that his mother has died. His world collapses and, still with the cow, he begins a wandering in which he will manage to accept his loss.

Maria, a new mother and writer, is transfixed by the disturbing case of a woman who drowned her infant twins, prompting her own journey through the complexities of motherhood.

Antonin pays a visit to his father whom he hasn’t seen for fifteen years. He asks a friend and cameraman to accompany him because he wants to make a documentary of the encounter. Very quickly, everything gets out of control: his film and his relationship with his father, which he had been planning to patch up.

It's summer and Antonin is on his way to visit the father he has not seen in fifteen years. Accompanied by his friend, a cameraman who will film the reunion, he leaves the city for his childhood home – where fifteen years earlier his father had kicked his mother out of the house.
