History, work, sex, cinema, death and my older brother. An essay on what swimming pools mean in culture and the collective memories we have about them. Inspired by Ed Ruscha's swimming pool photographs.

A studio photographer in the midst of a complicated divorce tells stories of heartbreak, drinking and loss to his teenage son, slowly revealing his attachment to these memories and a plan to find an old girlfriend from his past. Loosely inspired by Sam Shepard's book Motel Chronicles.
