Pelle (Karl-Arne Holmsten) and Siska (Irma Christenson) Hedberg are both journalists on the same newspaper. Pelle is an editor and Siska writes a relationship advice column. They're also newlyweds. And they love each other and are very happy together. But Siska often works late. Which leaves Pelle home alone. And after a while he starts to feel neglected. So he writes a letter about his problem to Siska’s relationship column. And HILARITY ensues in this ZANY ROM-COM!

This farce cocerns Sweden's King Gustav (Per Oscarsson who plays all the lead roles). The royal monarchs of three major European countries are patiently or not-so-patiently hovering on the sidelines while watching the future King Gustav closely. No single king appears to possess the brains he was born with, so history seems to be made by default, as it were. Gustav does blunder around, but not enough to miss being crowned king. As a result, France, England, and Germany invade Sweden hoping to take by force what they could not gain by incompetence.

Gösta Eriksson, a hairdresser, buys a car from used-car dealer Bertil Planåker. But Gösta soon discovers that the car is a wreck. Planåker won't give him his money back, in fact he denies ever having seen Gösta. Gösta's brother Rolle is released from prison and promises to help him. They form an investment company, Parabola, and convinces Planåker to invest a lot of money in it. Planåker has a lot of shady business colleagues who also invest their money. Gösta's and Rolle's scam becomes much bigger than they had bargained for.

Anders' father is an unemployed alcoholic and his mother slaves away at a laundry to support the family. A ray of hope comes Anders' way when he finishes his first novel and submits it to a publisher. But after his girlfriend gets pregnant, his future dims before his eyes once more.

When Inga Brantemo goes on a business trip to Italy, her husband Bertil gets romantically involved with Christina Lovén, whose father is a book publisher. When Inga returns, Bertil has a difficult time trying to explain who the woman the neighbors saw in the Brantemo home was. Bertil is an author and it doesn't get easier when he and his wife gets invited to Christina's father to talk business.

A father must not disappoint. If you have promised to go fishing together, the promise applies. No obstacles count, reasons the boy and leave.

Erik, a poor inventor meets the clerk Lillemor and fall in love. Erik's becomes invention is ready for the market. He contacts a director who might be interested. Erik is attracted almost immediately by the director's wife.

A gunman has taken residency on an uninhabited island and a local man has to deescalate the situation without getting the police involved.

A young woman dies from a drug overdose, and her brother and his friend try to find out who supplied her with the narcotics. Soon, they're chased all over Stockholm by the cruel but suave ring leader Harry and his thugs. Among the wildness is a fight in a brothel filled with naked girls, and when Servus, one of the thugs, fails to kill our heroes, Harry has his men kill Servus with a razor blade equipped glove. Oh, and the heroine is raped by a guy sucking on a comforter
