A couple decide to move to a small and remote farming town in Western Cape, South Africa. The people in the town are strange and keep away from newcomers but the couple is happy. Until the woman starts seeing some strange things in the town, fields and even their own home.

Smith, the deaf and dumb son of a rural coloured preacher, refuses to accept the menial labour on offer in the small farming community where he’s grown up. He tries to earn a living in the city, but this ends in assault, and his return home sparks off a cycle of vengeful violence.

A nine-year-old autistic boy is found dead in the bath tub. His mother Ingrid, who spent her life caring for him and loved him dearly, is being investigated for murder.

Alex and Sam reconnect after a chance encounter. They imagine a fantasy life as a married couple and abandon all their responsibilities to be together. However, reality soon comes knocking.
