Vanessa and Maria are twins, although not so identical...Maria is a nun while Vanessa is a go go dancer. Medical doctor Dr. Sophie Heimbach is asked by her former mentor Dr. Ursula Stein to fly to an earthquake zone in Indonesia for the aid organization Mediziner ohne Grenzen to investigate the team leader there, the talented surgeon Dr. Kreusler. He has allegedly misappropriated aid supplies. On site, the two have to maintain medical care under the most difficult conditions. Then the earth shakes again...

Former secret government agent Max Hecker (Sven Martinek) disguises himself with a clown mask in order to fight international crime. He hangs up his mask when one of his supporters, journalist Claudia (Diana Frank), is murdered. Four years later, he must put it back on as Claudia's sister Leah (Eva Habermann) is kidnapped by the same people that killed Claudia.

Vic, an old adventurer, is commissioned by a mine owner to bring the legendary diamond "Mist of Namanga" to the diamond dealer Max. On the way, however, he is ambushed by gangsters and, in his distress, throws the suitcase with the valuable contents into the bush. To make matters worse, he runs into his ex-girlfriend Lisa, who is now engaged to the aforementioned Max - but has caught him with someone else and wants to leave him. In the excitement, however, she got on the wrong bus and now Vic and Lisa are on the run together, slowly getting closer again thanks to various adventures.

A series of strange accidents plaguing a city located near the mine. Two people were pulled through the funnel, which formed after the collapse of tunnels under the lake. Geologist Nina Thiemann discovers that the mine tunnels are insecure and unstable. A woman with an expert in the field of explosions and a father, a former miner, descend into the ground, hoping that they will prevent catastrophe
