Small-time criminal Erhard is on his way to the middle of nowhere for a job when he suddenly finds himself with a dead body in the trunk of his car. Reason enough to hide the car and seek shelter in the nearest village. Of course, the unconventional city slicker rejects country life from the outset and, to make matters worse, is blackmailed by the teenage Emma, who witnessed him fleeing the scene of the accident.

After finding out his father had passed, James a washed up writer needs to return to the home, he and his brother Ezekiel grew up in and himself, ran away from. Upon returning to the home the dark mysteries of the now empty house begin to reveal themselves again and as James becomes haunted by the past his shares with the house and more importantly his father. A mysterious child, an ominous door and a broken home - James is faced with two choices run away again or confront his past.

With the help of a documentary crew, Greg hopes to not only prove to the world, but also to himself, that he is capable of leaving behind his superpowers in pursuit of an average and normal life at an accounting firm.
