The story takes place in the contemporary Polish provinces. Zenon Okrzasa finds a wallet with 10,000 zlotys in the forest, but without bland documents. He takes his discovery to the nearest police station. When information about his glorious deed appears in the local press and television; Zenon Okrzasa is considered by the inhabitants of his town to be a complete idiot and even a dangerous and anti-social individual. More misfortunes begin to fall on his head.

As the plot unfolds, the viewer learns that the whole journey is not real, but takes place only in the imagination, the inner space of the characters.
